Light the Way

Make the holidays brighter for sick kids

Every day a child spends in the Hospital is another day away from friends, from big brothers and little sisters. It’s stressful. And it’s lonely.

The holidays can be one of the most difficult times of the year for families to spend in the hospital, but through the Light the Way campaign they are reminded that they are not fighting alone. As one patient father shared, “It is comforting to be reminded that everyone’s focus is on making our child feel better.”

This December, we are partnering with community leaders to make sure every child in the hospital knows they aren’t alone. Local businesses and individuals who raise funds during December can earn tickets to what we’re sure will become a new Rady Children’s tradition: our Light the Way celebration—an evening event taking place just before curfew at the Hospital where you’ll join us and first responders in wishing some of San Diego’s sickest kids a good night.

Community partners and individuals who raise at least $500 will be invited to our special Light the Way celebration in December.

Make a child’s holiday brighter and get started today.
