In-Kind

Holiday Giving at Rady Children's

In an effort to more effectively organize and distribute toys to the kids and families in our care this holiday season, we will be hosting our inaugural Rady Children's Holiday Toy Drive on Friday, Dec. 14 from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. in front of the Hospital. Toys delivered to the Hospital on this date will be used to stock our Toy Room full to the brim. Families will then be able to select toys for their little ones in time for the holidays.

Although we strongly encourage donations on this date, we will be able to accept smaller donations (no more than 40 toys) through Friday, Dec. 21. Please contact our In-Kind Coordinator at 858-966-8833 or haiken@rchsd.org for more information. We appreciate your support in shaping this new holiday tradition.

Donation Process and Regulations

Please see below for our wish list and other options for giving to our in-kind program. Donated toys must be brand new, unwrapped and free of violent imagery, religious themes and company logos.

Current Greatest Need: Infant and Toddler toys including but not limited to packaged teething toys, rattles, Discover & Play musical toys and Baby Einstein items.

Due to Hospital safety and infection control policies, Rady Children's is no longer able to accept handmade, plush or fabric items. This includes stuffed animals, blankets and clothing. Additionally, any handmade donations, including knit or crocheted items and greeting cards, will not be distributed to patients.

Please note that donors are not able to deliver toys personally to patients. Child Life Specialists will assist families with choosing toys which align best with their children's needs.
